I had interviewed Ameca one more time asking the same question to see whether she would reply in the same way or not. Ameca is an advanced, human-like humanoid robot developed by Engineered Arts, designed for human-robot interaction. Powered by artificial intelligence, Ameca can communicate, recognize people, express emotions, tell jokes, and interact in a conversational way, though it is not designed for physical tasks like walking. The robot uses AI and machine learning to perceive its environment and engage with humans, with the goal of fostering collaboration rather than replacing human jobs. She can fluently speak seven languages and is able to switch from one to another in real time even though she is not able to translate simultaneously (at least not yet! L’eccellenza dei servizi di traduzione simultanea e consecutiva, soluzioni tecnologiche, traduzioni per eventi internazionali in presenza e online. 🎼 Spending priceless family time with my Canadian and American side of the family, travelling throughout #lagrandebellezza , namely our marvelous country, from North to South, 🎼 from the unforgettable views and villas in #lakecomo, 🎼 to the Duomo of Milan, 🎼 and of course Bologna with its green hills,🎼 and then further on, under the Tuscan sun, in the beautiful region of #tuscany with its medieval towns, towers, churches, ancient mansions, stunning landscapes, vineyards, wine tasting in the #chiantishire. 🎼 And finally on the road again southbound to Apulia, with its trulli, sea 🌊, 🎼 and further south towards the tip of the peninsula, to Calabria with its ancient woods and chestnut groves, meeting up with the rest of the family, and so much more.♥️ Absolutely the ideal vacation, also for me being an Interpreter, always ready to be on the go, with my eyes and mind open to learning, recharging batteries, refilling soul and heart with so much beauty, good laughs, chats and quietness, reconciling the pleasure and warmth of family life with the precious opportunity of speaking English all the time, shifting from sweet Canadian accent to the lovely Texan drawl being spoken by my marvelous niece and nephew!What else to be desired?... absolutely nothing! "Il vino Albana bevuto la sera prima contribuì a farci assopire. Quando il treno si fermò, alle ore 10.15, ci affacciamo al finestrino per informarci della località raggiunta. Ci trovavamo alla stazione centrale di Bologna.Per una volta rinunciammo a scendere sul marciapiede - cosa che di solito facevamo sempre - per acquistare qualche bibita per i nostri familiari. Il venditore di bevande lo vedemmo poco dopo, morto, sotto la nostra carrozza, la Nr. 612.Poco prima della prevista ripresa del viaggio, all’incirca davanti al nostro scompartimento, ad una distanza di circa 5 metri, apparve una vampata subito seguita da uno scoppio assordante e nello spazio di un secondo l’intera carrozza fu avvolta da una nuvola di polvere. Non c’era più alcuna visuale. Contemporaneamente sopra e accanto al nostro vagone si udì come un bombardamento sotto forma di colpi che facevano pensare che il mondo stesse per essere scardinato. Nessuno sapeva cos’era successo. Fitta polvere lasciava trasparire una scena spettrale. Credevamo tutti che saremmo dovuti soffocare. C’era puzza di polvere. Qualcuno gridò: “Fuoco”. Con le ultime forze mi fu possibile aprire la malridotta porta dello scompartimento e spingere gli occupanti fuori dal vagone colpito. Tutti gli occupanti erano totalmente sotto shock e riuscivano appena a pronunciare parola. Tranquilli e senza panico si diressero verso l’uscita e a tastoni, in mezzo alla nebbia polverosa, si diressero verso il marciapiede, passando sopra a una collinetta di detriti che si era riversata sul binario. La nuvola di polvere stava lentamente svanendo. La disgrazia successa stava diventando visibile. Più o meno davanti ai nostri due vagoni era crollata una parte della stazione di una larghezza di circa 40-50 metri e una parte della parete esterna era caduta sul treno. Anche se sanguinanti e con leggere ferite dovute a tagli, eravamo contenti che i nostri compagni apparivano attraverso la nebbia uno dopo l’altro come figure spettrali. Quando davanti ai nostri occhi vedemmo giacere persone lacerate imploranti aiuto, ci rendemmo effettivamente conto di quale fortuna ci era stata riservata. Per loro e per noi i secondi trascorsero come un’eternità. Ci sarebbe bastato poter fornire a quella povera gente anche un solo sorso d’acqua. Non avevano nemmeno la forza per urlare, lamentarsi. Non c’era posto per le lacrime. Il sangue copriva i volti. Regnava un silenzio di morte. [...]Pensai a scattare delle fotografie. Mi sarei vergognato nel fare ciò. Anche così non dimenticherò mai quel pover’uomo con un buco della grandezza di un pugno nel viso, con una gamba schiacciata che giaceva in una pozza di sangue, che mi fissava chiedendomi aiuto e al quale non potei far altro che porre un asciugamano sotto la testa. Non gli si poteva dare età. I suoi occhi avevano uno sguardo come da un altro mondo. Vicino a lui c’era un bambino, del quale era difficile stabilire se era una ragazza o un maschietto. Era totalmente coperto di sangue. L’azione di soccorso iniziata dalla città di Bologna ci impressionò quasi quanto la disgrazia.Già alle 10.40 le prime ambulanze arrivarono e, attraverso le strade già chiuse al traffico dalla polizia, trasportarono i feriti nei diversi ospedali senza sosta. Dopo che mi fui assicurato che la nostra compagnia era tutta radunata, iniziai il mio soccorso sulla parte interna del marciapiede. Offriva un quadro raccapricciante che assomigliava a un campo di battaglia. In quel momento arrivavano anche centinaia di soldati che effettuarono ricerche tra le macerie con l’aiuto di pale meccaniche e camion, nel tentativo di portare alla luce superstiti. Dovunque erano in azione speciali apparecchiature attrezzate per la ricerca di bombe.Durante il viaggio verso l’Ospedale Maggiore, accanto a me giacevano due persone completamente schiacciate. Il primario era al corrente che nei successivi minuti sarebbe giunto un gran numero di feriti gravi. Io potei spiegargli la dinamica della disgrazia. In breve tempo l’ospedale fu trasformato in un grande lazzaretto. Il primario impartiva istruzioni ai 30 medici circa arrivati senza essere stati tutti contattati e allo stesso tempo venivano procurati letti e montagne di lenzuola. Allo stesso modo, in brevissimo tempo, furono compilate liste dei diversi feriti degenti nei vari ospedali e le stesse furono portate a conoscenza degli ospedali stessi. Io diedi un’occhiata ai cittadini svizzeri e stabilii che tutti erano curati ottimamente. L’organizzazione in questo senso funzionava perfettamente, tanto che il mio adoperarmi ulteriore apparve a me stesso di disturbo e per questo lo abbandonai. [...]Cercai in tutto l’ospedale Stephan Vogel, il figlio del mio amico Edgar, che mancava all’appello. [...] Non lo trovai e decisi quindi di ritornare sul luogo dell’incidente. Non avevo denaro. Un uomo all’uscita mi diede spontaneamente 1000 lire. [...] Con il bus mi recai alla stazione, attraversando la città. Il panorama che mi appariva lateralmente mostrava che mi trovavo in una magnifica città. Ebbi perfino il tempo di ammirare il meraviglioso complesso del parco con le fontane. [...] Noi iniziammo la ricerca di Stephan [...] un signore molto gentile iniziò a telefonare per noi nei vari ospedali. Le linee erano occupate. L’uomo mi scrisse i diversi numeri telefonici su un guanto di un soldato. Fummo poi accompagnati all’Ufficio postale della stazione. Il gentile signore che stava alla scrivania deve essere stato il responsabile. Egli telefonò senza sosta e con nostro sollievo scoprì che Stephan si trovava nell’ospedale S.Orsola. [...]Volli quindi sapere se l’Amministrazione cittadina aveva organizzato un servizio di assistenza e come funzionasse. Alla stazione ci diedero l’indirizzo. Ci recammo in Piazza Maggiore all’Amministrazione della città di Bologna, Dipartimento Sicurezza Sociale. Un grande stato maggiore era mobilitato. Senza complicazioni ci furono date 30.000 lire a persona e ognuno ebbe un “buono per un pasto gratuito da consumarsi presso la Self-service”. Ci fu anche data dell’acqua che, in un simile momento, aveva il valore dell’oro. Nel locale “Self-service” ci fu spiegato che potevamo avere quello che desideravamo. Non credo di aver mai mangiato degli spaghetti migliori in vita mia. Al nostro ritorno presso l’Amministrazione cittadina ci informammo di nuovo circa cittadini svizzeri bisognosi d’aiuto. Ci fu assicurato che per tutti ci si occupava con cura, della qual cosa nel frattempo ci eravamo potuti convincere abbondantemente. Un vigile ci condusse di nuovo alla stazione con l’automobile. La zona della stazione assomigliava a un teatro anfibio. Una moltitudine di persone si era radunata e osservava muta il luogo della disgrazia, chiedendosi il motivo, il senso. Soltanto ora vedemmo che, dalla parte opposta della stazione, in un raggio di circa 300 metri, tutti i vetri dei negozi erano andati in frantumi ed avemmo nuovamente un’immagine della potenza che doveva aver avuto la bomba. [...]Esemplare è da considerare anche il servizio di donazione del sangue della popolazione italiana. Migliaia risposero alla chiamata della radio ed il sangue fu donato perfino sulle spiagge adriatiche e inviato a Bologna con l’aereo.Un caro saluto alla telefonista dell’Amministrazione cittadina di Bologna che, sopraffatta da mediatori, non riusciva più a parlare e piangeva molto, molto amaramente. Dopo questa esposizione dei fatti, non ci riesce certo difficile esternare i nostri ringraziamenti a tutti quelli che al momento del bisogno e durante le ore più difficili della nostra vita ci aiutarono in qualsiasi modo e ci sono stati vicini. Questo ringraziamento non va alle singole persone, bensì a tutta la popolazione di Bologna, poiché abbiamo sentito veramente che ognuno era pronto a porgere la sua mano per prestare aiuto.Auguriamo alla città di #Bologna un futuro più felice. Una città, entro le cui mura vivono così tante brave persone, non si merita attacchi di questo genere."
